The Brazilian Academy of Sciences, Arts, History and Literature is a cultural entity that has been active since 1910, when its first records as the Brazilian Academy of History date back.

Under the baton of Afrânio de Mello Franco, he took his first steps, adapting to the difficult conditions for a Sodality to be established at that time on solid bases and with him were, among others, Alberto Rangel, Basílio de Magalhães and Ramalho Ortigão.
